National Quality Award
American Health Care Association/National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL) Quality Awards – 2016 Silver – Achievement in Quality
East Longmeadow Skilled Nursing Center was one of just three centers in Massachusetts to earn a 2016 Silver Award. Only 72 facilities nationwide achieved this distinction in 2016.
The AHCA/NCAL National Quality Award is a progressive three-step process that encourages continuous learning and development of integrated quality systems to achieve performance excellence. Each progressive step requires a more detailed and comprehensive demonstration of quality integration and performance. The criteria for each step is based on the Baldrige Performance Excellence Program’s core values and concepts.
Silver – Achievement in Quality: Applicants who receive the Silver award provide an extensive assessment of their systematic approaches, performance measures, and sustainable organizational and process results that are linked to the key customer requirements, success factors, and challenges they identified in previously earning the Bronze – Commitment to Quality award.
